My name is Brandon Schatsiek and I am a 2010 graduate from the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. I am a Convergence Journalist who has experience writing and producing news/content for six professional newsrooms. I have experience with writing stories at the Columbia Missourian, KMOV.com in St. Louis and the Boulder Daily Camera. I have filmed and edited video stories for KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri as well as CurrentTV.com. I have also reported and edited stories for KBIA-FM in Columbia as well as produced graphics for the Missourian. I have experience in many different aspects of journalism and even know XHTML coding. I also have an eagerness and willingness to learn new and exciting things. I am up for any challenge that may await me as I look toward my future after school. Currently, I am the news editor of the Washinton Times-Reporter weekly newspaper in Washington, Ill., and working toward an eventual goal of a job with a non-profit organization in some capacity.
